They do tolerate some frost though and may even require some colder weather to bear fruits. Tropical fruits do not tolerate frost at all. They may grow in different habitats. Some subtropical fruits are: avocado, fig, lychee and pomegranate. Some tropical fruits are: banana, pineapple, mango, persimmon, papaya and other exotic fruits. Citrus fruits may be tropical or subtropical. Most commercially important species are subtropical and tolerate some frost. |
