Spätlese



Spätlese (literal translation: late harvest) is a German wine term referring to a Prädikatswein, a category in German wine classification. The grapes for Spätlese wines are harvested after the main harvest and have to achieve between 76 and 95 degrees oechsle. Spätlese is the lightest of the late harvest wines and always below Auslese in ripeness.
