Robiola Osella, Robiola del Becco



Robiola Osella is a fresh cheese made from cow milk or goat milk. Robiola made from goat milk is only sold in October and November. It is a specialty and also called Robiola del Becco. Robiola is produced in the Italian region Piedmont. It is sold as a block of about 7 cm width and length and 3 cm heigth. The rindless cheese weighs about 250 g. Its white interior has a slightly grainy texture. Robiola has a pleasant sourish and aromatic taste. Its smell is slightly sour as well. With a fat content of up to 70 percent of fat in dry matter it is considered a double cream cheese.
