Raw Sugar, Natural Brown Sugar, de.: Rohzucker, Brauner Zucker

Raw sugar or natural brown sugar is a semi-finished product in cane sugar or beet sugar production. Raw sugar has a yellow to brown colour because the syrup has not been removed completely from the sugar crystals. This sugar still contains vitamins, minerals and other impurities giving additional aroma. Raw sugars are popular in wholefood cooking because of their relative high portion of vitamins, minerals and trace elements.
