Pizzoccheri are noodles made from buckwheat flour in the form of tagliatelle. They belong to the group of pasta. Pizzoccheri were probably first produced in the Valtellina valley in Italy. Some sources mention the Italian speaking part of Switzerland as the origin of Pizzoccheri. They are cooked with potatoes and savoy cabbage and seasoned with sage and garlic. Japanese soba noodles are similar to Pizzoccheri.
