Prime Rib Steak

Prime rib steak is a cut from the lean interior of the fore rib of young cattle. It is the part of the fore rib that corresponds to the first rib (therefore prime rib), weighs about 200 g and is 2 to 3 cm thick.

Prime rib steaks are grilled or pan-fried. Similar to rib eye steak a well done prime rib steak is often tough. To prevent toughness it should be served immediately after cooking while still very hot.
