Primeur wines young, French, light red wines with a noticable berry flavour. They are bottled and sold immediately after a short fermentation and should be cooled before drinking. They may not be sold before November 15 of each year. Several French and Italian red wines are sold as Primeur. The Primeur that is best known and sold is Beaujolais Primeur.
