Pesticides, de.: Pestizide

Pesticides are chemical or biological substances intended for preventing, destroying, repelling, or mitigating any pests. Pesticides are sprayed on the fields as solutions or powder. Depending on their application area they can be herbicides that control and kill weeds (i.e. couch grass), fungicides that prevent the spread of fungi (i.e. mildew), insecticides that control and kill insects, or miticides that kill mites (i.e. spider mites in green houses).
